Guides can help you develop perspective or aid in building the structure of your artwork.
In the expanded toolbar at the top (tap the ellipsis), in Actions → Canvas, you will find Drawing Guide. Toggle this on, then tap Edit Drawing Guide to find four different drawing guides to assist you with your work.
Each guide is designed to help with your work in different ways. They’re explored in-depth in the Drawing Guides and Assistance section of this handbook.
Drawing guides appear as thin overlay lines on your artwork. Change the appearance of guides by selecting the type of guide you want and then Settings.
The most basic form of guide is the square 2D Grid. This guide is perfect for flat 2D style of drawing that requires 90º angles and straight lines such as house plans and simple maps.
Expand your toolbar with the ellipsis, then tap Actions → Drawing Guide → Edit Drawing Guide → 2D Grid to activate your 2D Grid.

The Symmetry guide is different from the other guides as it mirrors your strokes either horizontally, vertically, across a quadrant, or radially. Symmetry can help you easily create reflected shapes, tiled designs, and patterns.
Expand your toolbar with the ellipsis, then tap Actions → Drawing Guide → Edit Drawing Guide → Symmetry to activate the Symmetry function.
Symmetry works with Assisted Drawing by default, so this will be switched on when you activate the guide.

Adjust the color, thickness, opacity, and spacing of your grid lines.
Turning on Assisted Drawing will make your strokes follow the angles, perspectives or mirroring of your chosen guide.
To activate Drawing Assist, expand your toolbar with the ellipsis, then tap Actions → Drawing Guide → Edit Drawing Guide.
Now, regardless of which drawing guide you select, you can enable or disable Drawing Assist with the toggle to have your brushstrokes follow or ignore the guide.
Once you have any drawing guide active, you can also enable and disable Drawing Assist from the Layers menu (tap twice on a layer, tap Drawing Assist) or from the QuickMenu.
