Content types

Procreate Dreams supports a wide range of image, video, audio, and font formats. Use any of the formats below to add content to your movies.

You can import content into Procreate Dreams directly from Files or Photos using the Create menu , or by dragging and dropping it from another app.

Image formats

Procreate Dreams supports the following image formats:

1. .jpg

2. .png

3. .tiff

4. .gif (animated .gif files will import as Flipbooks)

5. .heic

6. .tga

7. .procreate

Video codecs

Procreate Dreams supports the following video codecs, for import and export:

1. AVC/H.264 (.mp4, .m4v, .mov)

2. HEVC/H.265 (.mov)

3. ProRes

4. ProRes 422 Proxy

5. ProRes 422 LT

6. ProRes 422

7. ProRes 422 HQ

8. ProRes 4444

9. ProRes XQ

Video codecs with alpha

Procreate Dreams supports the following video codecs with alpha content, for import and export:

1. HEVC/H.265 (.mov)

2. ProRes 4444 (.mov)

To export a video that is alpha-aware, ensure you have Transparent background turned on in Movie settings → Stage before you head to Share → Advanced Export.
