iPad Pro 11-inch (M4)
iPad Air 13-inch (M2)
iPad Air 11-inch (M2)
Squeeze
Apple Pencil Pro users can play and pause their movie when in Timeline or full-screen mode. Squeeze the Apple Pencil Pro to play your movie. Squeeze again to pause your movie. You'll feel haptic feedback in the pencil when squeeze is activated.
To switch off the squeeze feature, tap Squeeze off in the Apple Pencil section of iOS Settings.
Barrel roll performing
Barrel roll can be used while Performing to rotate content while it is moving, or to control any brush that has barrel roll attributes active
Apple Pencil Pro users can simultaneously perform move and rotate keyframes using the barrel roll feature. While Performing motion, rotate Apple Pencil Pro as you drag your content across the stage.
You can perform motion keyframes without rotation by turning off Rotate Performing with Apple Pencil Pro toggle in Movie Settings Preferences.
Barrel roll draw & paint
Barrel roll can also control a brush's shape orientation, color and color interaction, and size. These attributes will need to be toggled on for the brush in Brush Studio Settings. For some, these will be toggled in by default, for others you'll need to update the brush in Brush Studio Settings, available in Procreate, then import it into Procreate Dreams.
Read more in the Brush Studio Settings section of the Procreate handbook.
Pro Tip
Turn on cursor outline and/or hover in Movie Settings to see how barrel roll affects your brush as you use barrel roll.
