How do I move my artwork out of a stack?
Stacking artwork in the Procreate Gallery is a useful way to group and organize growing numbers of artworks. Artwork stacks are easy to identify. The canvas icon will show the first three canvases in the stack with the second and third canvases angled slightly underneath the top canvas.
Beneath the stack title, you can see a count of how many artworks are in the stack (if you haven’t named your stack, it will use the default title, ‘Stack’).
Moving an artwork out of a canvas stack
If you’ve stacked an artwork and want to move back into the Gallery or add it to another stack, follow these steps.
Tap to open the stack containing the artwork you want to move.
Tap and hold on the artwork you want to move.
While holding your finger or Apple Pencil on the artwork, use another finger to tap the title of your stack — top left-hand side of your screen — to return to the Gallery. Alternatively, drag your artwork and hover over the stack title.
When you’ve returned to the Gallery, release your hold where you’d like to drop the artwork, either as a standalone artwork or dropped into a different stack.
Pro Tip
If you’d like to move multiple artworks out of the stack, tap Select — the top right-hand side of the screen — while in a stack view. Select the artworks you’d like to move, then follow steps 2–4 above.
