Record a video of your iPad screen to send to Procreate Product Care for help
If you are running into a software issue, the Procreate Product Care team may request a video of the problem. This will provide useful details about what’s causing the issue and help resolve it faster for you.
Record from an external source
The best way to show the issue is to record it taking place using an external device such as your phone or digital camera. Please follow these steps:
Keep the camera steady with the whole screen in frame. This may be easier with someone recording for you. Alternatively, position the camera at a suitable distance on a surface or tripod.
It can be helpful to verbally describe what you are doing. Provide any other relevant detail that adds useful context.
Share your video with the team. Ensure it’s the highest available quality with the detail visible.
Record the screen directly on the iPad
If you are unable to record using an external device, please provide a screen recording of the problem.
Open the iPad settings .
Select Control Centre .
Add Screen Recording to the included controls by tapping the add icon . Note: if there is a minus icon next to Screen Recording, it has already been added to the Control Centre and you can skip this step.
Return to your home screen with the Procreate Dreams app visible.
Swipe down from the top-right to open Control Centre.
Tap the screen record icon . Recording will commence after a three-second timer.
Carry out the steps that led to the issue.
Stop the recording by repeating steps 5-6 i.e. swipe down from the top-right, then tap the screen record icon.
The video will be saved to your Photos app. You can edit the start or end points if necessary.
