Procreate Dreams' .drm files store undo states and all the content and information required to make your movie. This is great for backups and portability, but can make for large file sizes. You may want to reduce the size of your movie to share with friends or colleagues.

Trim videos prior to import

When working with videos it is common to only use parts of a video and not the entire video. To save on file size, consider trimming videos in the Files app or Photos app before importing them into Procreate Dreams.

Export a new .drm file

Another option that is useful for backing up your files or sharing your work is to export a new .drm file. This file won’t include any file history, which saves some bytes.

To export a new .drm file:

1. Open your movie and tap on the title of the movie to open Movie settings.

2. Tap Share .

3. Tap Procreate Dreams.

4. Select a location to save your file.
