If Procreate Dreams freezes or stops responding, try changing modes or relaunching the app.

If Procreate Dreams continues to be unresponsive, try checking your iPad storage, or restarting your iPad.

Change modes

Changing modes may help if Procreate Dreams becomes unresponsive.

If you are in Perform, Timeline Edit, or Draw & Paint mode tap a different mode to the one you are currently using.

Alternatively, try returning to the Theater and reopening the current movie:

1. Tap the Theater button to exit the current movie.

2. Tap the movie you were working on to reopen it.

Relaunch Procreate Dreams

If Procreate Dreams is unresponsive after trying to change modes, try exiting the app and relaunching it.

1. Open the iPadOS App Switcher.

2. Drag up from the bottom of the screen and hold your finger in the center of the screen or double-click the Home button (on an iPad with a Home button).

3. From the App Switcher, swipe up on Procreate Dreams to quit the app.

4. Return to the iPadOS Home Screen and relaunch the app by tapping it.

Check your iPad storage

Your iPad needs enough free storage space to run smoothly. When your iPad storage capacity is too low it can cause unexpected behavior, and we recommend clearing some space.

We recommend having at least 15% of your total storage capacity free for your iPad to run smoothly.

To find out how much storage space your iPad has go to the Settings app → General → iPad Storage.

Force restart your iPad

There are two different ways to force your iPad to restart depending on your device model.

If your iPad doesn’t have a Home Button:

1. Quickly press and release the volume up button followed by the volume down button.

2. Press and hold the Power Button. When 'Slide to power off' appears, keep holding the Power Button until the Apple logo appears.

3. Release the button and wait for your iPad to restart.

If your iPad has a Home Button:

1. Press and hold the Home and Power buttons together until you see the Apple logo appear.

2. Release the buttons and wait for your iPad to restart.
