What's New in Procreate Dreams 2.1?

Procreate Dreams 2.1 adds some cool new features and ways to use existing features. Free your Flipbook, customise how Backstage content looks, have an easier time with your easings, and more.

Flipbook mini

Instead of having your Flipbook interface locked to the bottom of your screen when working in a Flipbook, move it to wherever you like, and even set it to be vertical using the left or right side of your interface.

Simply drag out from the grey handle to undock the Flipbook and have it come along for the ride. Scrub across the wheel to navigate and paint on drawings on your current Flipbook track.

Snap it vertically by placing (or hurling, try it!) it to the left or right, keep it at the edge of your interface to maximise your drawing space, or have it floating in any other spot for your convenience. Drag it down to the bottom center to have it return to the regular view, or quickly double tap the handle.

Next and Previous Drawing

When working in a Flipbook, tap the arrows facing left and right to move to your previous and next drawings, respectively.

Tap and hold on the left arrows to return to the start of your Flipbook, and tap and hold the right arrows to jump to the end of your Flipbook.

Scrub Lock

When working in the mini Flipbook, drag across the scrub wheel to move backwards and forwards in time, and tap the middle notch in the wheel to lock your frame.

Now, when you scrub left or right (or up or down in vertical view), Procreate Dreams will always snap back to the frame you have set as your scrub lock. Tap again on the highlighted notch to switch scrub lock off.

Backstage Visibility

You are now able to control how visible or transparent the content that falls outside of the Stage (viewport) area is, in Procreate Dreams.

Access this slider in Movie Settings in the Stage tab.

Adjust these values to see the context of your whole composition as it exists in and around the Stage area, or limit your visible scope to just what will be output when you export your movie.

Easing Improvements

When working with Keyframes, it's useful to see how content transitions from one state to the next.

Tap and hold directly between two keyframes to see the easing setting you've chosen for them, and a set of visual indicators that show how the change is divided over time.

Multi-select Reload

Immediately reselect the content you last had selected using the Multi-select feature, so you can make further adjustments.

Tap and hold on the Multi-select button to reload your previous selection.

Flip and Reset in Compose mode

Easily flip your content horizontally or vertically in Compose mode. Reset your content to its original state, before you made any changes in Compose.

When in Compose mode, tap on your active content on the Stage to show the bounding box. Tap the ellipsis icon in the top right to bring up the options to flip or reset it.
