Importing Procreate artwork into Procreate Dreams
You can drag and drop layered Procreate artworks, including animations made in Animation Assist, into Procreate Dreams.
Heads Up
If the imported artwork is an Animation Assist file the layers will import as a frame-by-frame animation in a single content track.
In Procreate Dreams, tap the Multitasking button at the top of the screen and tap Split View. (If you can’t see the Multitasking button , tap near the top of the screen first to make it appear.)
Choose Procreate from your apps to open it next to Procreate Dreams.
Drag and drop the artwork you want to import from your Procreate Gallery onto the Timeline in Procreate Dreams. Your artwork will then appear as a single drawing track.
To view all your drawing layers as tracks on the Timeline, tap and hold on the drawing track for your artwork to reveal the context menu.
Tap Convert layers to tracks . Note: If you can't convert layers to tracks, check the Procreate file format is set to 'Procreate' in iPad Settings → Procreate → Drag and drop export → Preferred file format.
Pro Tip
You can also drag and drop single layers from the Layers Panel in Procreate into the Timeline in Procreate Dreams. They will import as a single drawing track.
