Unable to import content into Procreate Dreams
If you are having trouble importing content into Procreate Dreams, try some of the following steps.
Check file compatibility
Procreate Dreams is compatible with a wide range of common file formats. However, if your file won't import, check it is in the list of compatible content formats .
Check Privacy Settings
If your file is one of the formats above and still won’t import, check your Privacy Settings.
Open iPad Settings → Privacy & Security → Files/Photos.
Check the Procreate Dreams toggle is on.
Save to Files or Photos app
If the file you’re attempting to import is stored in an external location (such as removable storage or a cloud service), try saving it to your Files or Photos app and importing it.
Locate the content you want to import into Procreate Dreams.
Save to the Files app under On My iPad or save to the Photos app if available.
Try reimporting the file from its new location.
Force restart your iPad
There are two different ways to force your iPad to restart depending on your device model.
If your iPad doesn’t have a Home Button:
Quickly press and release the volume up button followed by the volume down button.
Press and hold the Power Button. When 'Slide to power off' appears, keep holding the Power Button until the Apple logo appears.
Release the button and wait for your iPad to restart.
If your iPad has a Home Button:
Press and hold the Home and Power buttons together until you see the Apple logo appear.
Release the buttons and wait for your iPad to restart.
Heads Up
Check the Apple iPad User Guide for more information on how to restart your iPad.
Check your iPad storage
Your iPad needs enough free storage space to run smoothly. When your iPad storage capacity is too low it can cause unexpected behavior, and we recommend clearing some space.
We recommend having at least 15% of your total storage capacity free for your iPad to run smoothly.
To find out how much storage space your iPad has go to the Settings app → General → iPad Storage.
