Procreate Pocket supports creating and opening multi-page PDF files and viewing each each as a separate layer or group in a canvas.
Use the Import option in the Gallery to bring in a multi-page PDF file. If Page Assist does not turn on when you enter this canvas, you can use the following information to turn it on.
To create a page-assisted document, create any canvas (using the A4 canvas template is a good option), then head to your expanded tools and to Actions → Canvas in here.
Remember, if your top toolbar isn't expanded, tap the ellipsis to expand it outwards.
Inside of the Canvas Actions tab, toggle on Page Assist. Now every layer in your canvas will be treated as a separate page in your multi-page PDF document:
Navigate between your pages by tapping on the the thumbnails on the bottom toolbar. Tap and hold on any given page for extra options:
Immediately makes a copy of the current page to the right on the Page Assist toolbar. If the page duplicated is a group, this will duplicate the group itself and all the layers within.
Removes the current page and all the layers within this. This action is irreversible and cannot be reversed.
You can of course Undo this, but your undo states are limited to 250 and will be cleared when you exit the canvas or close the app.
If your document is Page Assisted, when you share it as a PDF file, it will automatically separate each layer/group to be a separate page in your output file. To turn off Page Assist, head back to Actions → Canvas in your expanded tools, then toggle off Page Assist.
You can swipe from left to right on layers in the Layers interface to select multiple, then tap the ellipsis → Group to bring them together as one. They will now occupy a single page in the Page Assisted document.
