Stage

Adjust how the Stage area looks and feels, and customize your Onion-skins for your project.

Sets the background color for your movie project. Tapping this opens up a Colors interface to the right, allowing you to select your preferred color using a variety of inputs.

Toggling this on sets the Stage background to be transparent.

Move this slider to change how visible content outside of the Stage (viewport) area is. At 100%, content extending outside the Stage viewport area is fully opaque; visible. At 0%, content outside the Stage is fully transparent. You can tap the percentage to input a value directly using a numerical readout.

Opens up the Onion skins interface. This applies to your whole movie as you view it in the Timeline, but the settings in here follow the same logic as those in Draw & Paint → Settings → Onions , so be sure to check that section out for details on how to use these settings.

Toggles whether to display the Timecode readout in the bottom left of the viewing area, just above the Theater and Movie settings buttons.

Background visibility slider

Using the slider in Movie Settings → Stage, drop background visibility to see just your Stage area (what will be output when you export your movie). Increase the visibility to see and work on areas outside your Stage; to see your other movie elements in the greater context.

In the following picture, the upper movie has Background visibility set to 20% (default), and the lower movie has it set to 100%. Note the rocky formations outside the Stage area are more visible in the lower movie:
