Customize Procreate Dreams’ basic behavior to your liking with preference settings.
Additional settings such as Loop Screen and Feedback Sounds can be found in the advanced settings for Procreate Dreams in your device's settings app.
Tap this setting to apply stabilization, motion filtering and expression, and adjust Procreate Dreams’ overall pressure sensitivity. Learn more about pressure and smoothing settings in the Procreate handbook .
Procreate Dreams dynamically scales brush sizes as you zoom in and out of the Stage. This means your brush maintains the same pixel size no matter how far in or out you zoom.
Toggle Dynamic brush scaling off to maintain brush sizes relative to the screen.
Choose whether to show the brush size & opacity sidebar on the right or the left when in Draw & Paint mode.
Choose whether to see your brush cursor while hovering, while painting, or both. If you want no brush cursor outline visible, set to none.
Choose whether to see your brush cursor as a high contrast outline, or your current active color. Select ‘Per brush’ to use the brush’s default settings.
Want to only use Apple Pencil to paint? Toggle this setting off.
Toggle this on to select content with your finger instead of Apple Pencil in Timeline Edit.
Keep your stage locked to horizontal by toggling this setting off.
Toggle Rotate Performing on or off.
Toggle the squeeze to play shortcut on or off.
Nominate the number of seconds you want to wait until rapid undo begins.
Toggle the visibility of redo or undo buttons. The buttons will be located next to the Timecode.
Toggle the undo and redo gestures on or off. Read more in the Basic Gestures section of this handbook.
Tap this to increase or decrease your undo steps. By default, Procreate Dreams stores 250 undo steps. However, you can adjust the number of undo steps down to 10 and up to infinite to keep every change you’ve made.
Set the percentage of preserved undo steps you want Procreate Dreams to keep. This percentage applies to the amount of Stored undo steps and is set to 100% by default.

Setting Stored Undo Steps to Infinite may significantly increase your file size, reducing your available iPad or iCloud storage. Opting for fewer undo steps will keep your file size down but offers less control over your past changes.
