When you first open Procreate Dreams you begin in the Theater. Here you can create, open, and share your movies.
Use this button to hide and show the side panel, and view storage locations.
Any project you create or import will appear as a movie with a preview image in the Theater.
Tap Select to delete or duplicate one or more movies.
Tap the add button to create a new movie based on templates or your own custom settings.
Get started straight away in Procreate Dreams with a selection of common screen formats and resolutions. You can choose to begin with an empty Timeline or dive straight into Draw & Paint mode.
Tap the add icon in the top right-hand corner of the Theater. This will open an interface where you can create a new movie.
Procreate Dreams has a selection of the most common aspect ratios used for animation. These range from popular social media options through to cinematic ultrawide screen.
Swipe up or down to view the following presets:
Wide screen (16:9)
Ultrawide screen (21:9)
Social (9:16)
Square (1:1)
Screen size
Each screen size can be set to four different resolutions with 4K being the default. To select the resolution of your movie, tap the 4K icon and choose from the resolution options that appear in the context menu.
You can also change your movie resolution and frame rate later in movie settings.
Tap the ellipses to reveal more options and set your movie duration and frame rate.
Tap Draw to start working on your movie in Draw & Paint mode.
Tap Empty to open an empty Timeline and start working on your movie with no initial content.
