In Procreate, you can import and export work across a wide variety of image formats - because nothing should limit your creativity.
Using Procreate's native file format has several benefits.
Your artwork loads faster, and takes up less space on your iPad.
Your .procreate files are easy to share with other Procreate artists.
Your progress is automatically saved in Procreate while you draw, so you never need to worry about saving while you work.
Best of all, the .procreate file format stores video data inside your image file, so you can view and share the Time-lapse Replay of the creation of your piece.
Procreate can also open and save files in many other popular formats.
You can import files in the following formats:
.procreate
PSD
JPEG
PNG
TIFF
GIF
You can share your artwork in all the formats listed above, plus Animated GIF, Animated PNG, and Animated MP4.
When Procreate imports an Adobe® Photoshop® document (PSD), it preserves locked layers, layer grounds, compatible filters and layer blend modes, and it can rasterize and import vector and text layers.
